El Arca de Noe/Noah's Ark

Yep, as strange as it may sound, yesterday I went to Noah's Ark- they've done a full size replica of it here in Hong Kong- FREAKS, but not so freaky apparently cause there's replicas of it in several countries in the world. I went there with my super host Sebastien. We spent a very hot day looking at the Ark's museum, the gardens, the fake animals (full size) and the real animals (also full size CUA!). What I've learnt- there were about 50,000 animals in the ark, plus Noah and his 7 family members, they were on it for about 370 days and it took Mr Noah more than 100 years to build it, and he did it all on his very own (apparently it wasn't such a big deal to live hundreds of years at that time... yeah, right!). I also learnt that God got pissed off because of the sinful ways of people and so decided to make the world flood and kill everyone (Uhm... whatever happened with the benevolent and compassionate God?!?!) They had a hotel in the top floor, and a conference room, etc. The religious aspect of it wasn't pushed too much, surprisingly enough, but God did they push the fatalistic, apocalyptic, catastrophic fear of... something.. not fear of God really, more re: humans destroying the world, and the environment, and wars etc. The definite highlight of the place was Earth Boy- hilarious 4D movie we watched with Earth Boy being all cute and naive saying- all we gotta do is be good people, look after ourselves and our environment. And Noah going- No, that's not enough Earth Boy... oh well, had to be there I guess:)
After being enlightened by this life changing experience we went back to the apartment for a while, and then out for dinner and drinks in the Soho area. Played charades in the streets while drinking alcohol (oh yeah, not illegal here like in Australia, you just buy cheap drinks at the 7/11, drink in the streets, and then go into the pubs). We met up with a friend of Sebastien, and went to this cute little bar with open mic- people playing the guitar and singing, cool art and decoration on the walls, place only fitted about 20 people.

Si, si, parece exranio, pero ayer estuve en la mismisima Arca de Noe, HA! Hicieron una replica tamanio real del Arca de Noe... cosa extrania si las hay, pero parece que no tan extranio porque existen varias en varios paises del mundo. Fui con mi super anfitrion Sebastien, y pasamos un dia cagados de calor viendo el museo, los jardines, los animales falsos (tamanio real), los animales verdaderos (tamanio real tambien, CUA!). Fue muy educativo- aprendi que habia 50.000 animales en el Arca, mas Noe y sus 7 familiares, que estuvieron en el arca por mas o menos 370 dias y que Noe construyo el Arca solito solito y tardo mas de 100 anios en hacerla (parece que en esa epoca vivir cientos de anios era bastante comun... si, claro!). Tambien aprendi que Dios se calento al ver a la gentuza pecadora y entonces decidio inundar al mundo y matar a todos (y no era que Dios era tan benevolente y puro amor?!?!?) El Arca tenia un hotel en el piso de arriba, y un salon para conferencias, etc. Me sorprendio que no hacian demasiado enfasis en la religion y en Dios, pero si mucho enfasis en sentimiento apocaliptico, catastrofico, y fatalista, y definitivamente inculcaban el temor... no de Dios, pero el temor de algo- de como el hombre esta destuyendo el planeta, el medio ambiente, las guerras, etc. El punto culmine del dia fue el Chico Tierra- un personaje en una pelicula que pasaron en 4D. El Chico Tierra era todo buenito y divino, diciendo al final de la pelicula- todo lo que se necesita, es que seamos buenos, y nos cuidemos a nosotros y a nuestro planeta. Y a esto Noe re ortiva le responde- No, no es suficiente eso Chico Planeta! Uhm... bueno, fue gracioso en el momento.
Despues de esta experiencia mitica y reveladora volvimos al depto por un rato, y despues salimos a cenar y a unos bares. Primero estuvimos tomando y jugando al digalo con mimica en la calle (aca todo el mundo compra alcohol barato en los 7/11 y toma primero en la calle, y despues van a los bares). Despues nos encontramos con una amiga de Sebastien y fuimos a un bar donde la gente (cualquiera que queria) pasaba a tocar la guitarra y cantar. El lugar muy copado, re chiquito entraban nada mas tipo 20 personas, y tenia decoracion y arte copada en las paredes.
