It's a long way to the First World/Un largo camino al Primer Mundo

12^th of March. Early wake up. Taxi to the bus station. 8am bus from La Paz to Copacabana, including a short boat ride to cross the Lake Titicaca. Arrived at lunchtime, 1 hour there for lunch, then bus from Copacabana (Bolivia) to Puno (Peru). Got there at about 3pm. Taxi from the bus station to the city centre. Minivan from there to Juliaca, about 50minutes away. Small town, nothing to see, but weirdly enough they have an airport and Puno doesn’t. Internet for an hour and then taxi to the Juliaca airport. Plane from Juliaca to Lima, got there just before 11pm. Airplane from Lima (Peru) to Los Angeles (USA), got there just before 7am. At the LA airport I met up with Ana. Ana is an Argentinean friend from Australia, and we are gonna be traveling together for the next 2 ½ weeks, yay! Airport shuttle to the bus station. Bus from LA to Las Vegas, departing at 10:20am, arriving at 4:30pm. Taxi from Las Vegas bus station to Lisa’a place, where we’ll be staying whilst in Vegas. Lisa is an Australian friend with whom I used to work, she’s now married to an American guy and lives in Vegas. She has 2 beautiful boys: Alex with his crazy hair and Nathan all serious. We got to her house at about 5pm. 13^th of March. I had left my hotel in La Paz at 7:15am on the 12^th of March. But considering the time difference between Bolivia and USA, another 4-5 hours should be added to calculate how long I traveled for. I can’t be bothered working it out. All I can say is that it was a long trip.

12 de Marzo. Despertarme temprano. Taxi a la estacion de bus. 8am bus de La Paz a Copacabana, incluyendo un bote cortito para cruzar en Lago Titicaca. Llegamos al mediodia, 1 hora ahi para almorzar, despues bus de Copacabana ( Bolivia) a Puno (Peru). Llegue tipo 3pm. Taxi de la estacion de bus al centre. Minivan de ahi a Juliaca, como a 50 minutos de viaje. Pueblo chico, nada que ver, pero extranamente tiene un aeropuerto y Puno no tiene. Internet por una hora y despues taxi al aeropuerto de Juliaca. Avion de Juliaca a Lima, llegue un poco antes de las 11pm. Avion de Lima (Peru) a Los Angeles (USA), llegue casi 7am. En el aeropuerto de LA me encontre con Ana. Ana es una amiga argentina de Australia, y vamos a viajar juntas por las siguientes 2 semanas y media, yuppie! Combi del aeropuerto a la estacion de bus. Bus de LA a Las Vegas, saliendo 10:20am, llegando 4:30pm. Taxi de la estacion de bus de Las Vegas a la casa de Lisa, donde nos vamos a quedar mientras estamos en Las Vegas. Lisa es una amiga australiana con la que yo trabajaba, ahora esta casada con un Americano y vive en Vegas. Tiene 2 hijos que son un amor: Alex con su pelo loco, y Nathan que es todo serio. Llegamos a su casa tipo 5pm. 13 de Marzo. Yo sali del hotel en La Paz tipo 7:15am del 12 de Marzo. Pero teniendo en cuenta la diferencia horaria entre Bolivia y USA, hay que agregarle otras 4-5 horas para calcular cuanto tiempo viaje. A mi me da fiaca calcularlo. Todo lo que puedo decir es que fue un viaje largo.
